Netc N·VISION RFID Solution Suite

The patent-pending Netc N·VISION RFID Solution Suite is a single source, integrated solution approach to better managing your data center tape assets. The Netc N·VISION RFID WatchDog™ Tape Tracking System with PassPort Technology™ can help track the entire life cycle of your data tape assets: their deployment, auditing, movement and decommissioning. It also can monitor a "chain of custody" through the tape library and offsite vaulting process. Essentially, Netc N·VISION RFID can help companies establish an audit trail of ownership rights and physical location, which can help them better account for their data tape assets, thereby limiting data loss liability. From RFID label creation, RFID enabling, RFID verification, through the data tape product life-cycle, Netc is your one-stop source for all your RFID needs. Netc’s open system architecture can easily interface with your IT asset and tape management software. Netc N·VISION RFID Technology You Can Identify With ™.

  • Netc Label Architect - N·VISION RFID Media Barcode Labels are available for ½ inch form factor (3480, 3490, 3590, 9840, 9940), 3592, LTO, T10K and SAIT data tape cartridges. Design, approve and purchase Netc N·VISION RFID media barcode labels in real-time. Netc will print, RFID enable and ship your labels within 48 hours.
  • Netc N·VISION RFID Blank Label Stock is available for ½ inch form factor (3480, 3490, 3590, 9840, 9940), 3592, LTO, T10K and SAIT data tape cartridges. Netc N·VISION RFID Blank Label Stock has 10 labels per sheet. The minimum purchase quantity is one package (20 sheets/200 Labels).
  • The Netc N·VISION RFID writeRFID System (hardware and software) makes it possible to read and write to a complete, integrated sheet of UHF GEN 2 RFID barcode labels at one time. The result is a fast, more accurate and secure process for RFID labeling tape media. The writeRFID system reads the RFID media barcode labels printed with the Netc N·VISION RFID Label System, and then writes the VolSer and media indicator data to the Electronic Product Code (EPC) portion of the RFID chip. The VolSer and media indicator information is write-once-read-many (WORM) permanently locked and cannot be changed. As an option, up to 56 characters of custom user data may be utilized to develop your unique RFID label schema. You may also password protect, encrypt and lock this information for additional security. The Netc N·VISION RFID writeRFID System ensures that the RFID labels are functioning properly before they are affixed to the tape and deployed in your organization.
  • Netc N·VISION RFID veRiFID hardware and software enables you to verify Netc N·VISION RFID labels before and/or after they have been affixed to the tape. The Netc N·VISION RFID DDX 100 add-on is used to provide an audible “ding” if the RFID label is good, or a “thud” sound if it is bad.
  • Netc N·VISION RFID Re-Write hardware and software makes it possible to read and write up to 56 characters of custom user data to the Netc N·VISION RFID labels after they have been affixed to the tape. You can write to up to 40 data tapes at one time. This capability is especially valuable when transporting tape between corporate data centers and to off-site storage.
  • The Netc N·VISION RFID WatchDog™ system with PassPort Technology™ utilizes state-of-the-art RFID technology to help you manage your valuable data tape assets. The Netc N·VISION RFID WatchDog™ system enables you to effectively manage the movement of your data tape assets. PassPort Technology™ lets you create your manifest (list) of data tapes to be tracked and monitored through the PassPort portals deployed in your organization. As the tapes move through each PassPort portal checkpoint, the N·VISION RFID labels are interrogated and verified against the manifest for accuracy and completeness. This process takes just a few seconds to authorize the operator to proceed to the next checkpoint. During the interrogation and authorization process an indicator light on the PassPort portal will turn yellow. Once the manifest is verified the light will turn green and you may proceed. If the manifest cannot be completely verified, the light will turn red. The anomaly and status will be visible on the PassPort touch screen monitor and the operator may take the appropriate remedial action. The system is scalable and features a complete reporting engine facilitating management reporting, analysis and real-time security alerts.
